The ISA is proud (and a little nervous) to announce that we are taking on support of three additional families.

As a result of the wellness checks that we have been conducting at area hotels, which has increased the number of our active volunteers, and with financial support toward rent through our partnership with Catholic Charities Boston, the ISA has agreed to provide longer term support for three families that are currently remaining in hotels. Two Afghan families (two adults plus an 8-year old boy, and a mother with three teenage sons) will come together to share an apartment. We are actively seeking a 4-bedroom apartment in the area. Another mother from Cameroon with an 8-year old daughter, will be housed in host homes in Melrose. Once settled, these families will be given support from our volunteers in all the ways listed elsewhere on our website. Once we find housing for the Afghan families, we will need to mobilize quickly to furnish the apartment, so if anyone is interested in helping with that, or has items to donate, please reach out through our contact form.
